What I'm Doing Right Now.

(Inspired by Katy Schutte, who was inspired by Derek Sivers.)

Role: Actor

Last month, I had my first experience performing Motion Capture at the University of Worcester (10 characters over 2 days). As such, I am reviewing some footage from that, and looking for more MoCap gigs because oh my gosh, I had SO much fun. I attended my first BAFTA Games Social at the start of this month thanks to Jonas Gawe and Mark Choi. I am also fast approaching Session 2 (Ostara) of Katy Schutte’s Mythic Improv Journey which follows the Pagan Wheel of the Year, and I am on the hunt for some musical improv classes after being inspired by the 50-Hour Improvathon.

Role: Game Developer

I am 26k words into my first text-based adventure game and the end is in sight - I just need to wrap up the endings, and then finish the proofreading/code-checking/editing. It was my first time using Twine and was a bit of a steep learning curve with a few roadblocks, but overall I have been enjoying the process. I have also been developing an idea I have had for a second game, which is considerably more complex as it utilises various stat checks and special attacks, rather than a simple choose-your-adventure format.

Additionally, I have joined the Events Team at Limit Break - a mentorship program aimed at marginalised people looking to get into the games industry. More details to come!!

Role: Twitch Streamer

It is currently my 2nd Affiliate Anniversary celebrations, yay! I have set up my Discord channel, almost reached my Follower and Subscription goals, and been streaming a wider variety of games, including APICO, Pokopia, and Minami Lane which have been very fun (and burning lots of IRL time!).

Role: Human Woman

I am eyeing up the local magnolia trees, with the intention of turning the flowers into cookies. I am enjoying a very satisfying lip mask - the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry - it is the lip version of freshly shaved legs and clean sheets (IYKYK). Also, I bought a kazoo which cost £15, and a Switch 2 which cost considerably more, but both are equally alluring. My lemon tree has a glut of lemons and I am overwhelmed.
