​What I'm Doing Right Now.

Role: Actor

I am reviewing footage from my Motion Capture experience at the University of Worcester (10 characters over 2 days). I recently attended Session 2 (Ostara) of Katy Schutte’s Mythic Improv Journey which follows the Pagan Wheel of the Year, and I am on the hunt for improv classes. I have also managed to stand and walk short distances in my Digilegs - success!!

Role: Game Developer

I am now nearly 28k words into my first text-based adventure game - while I believed the end was in sight, I realised I might need to kill some darlings for the sake of readability. Booo. I also need to finish proofreading and code-checking. I have also been developing an idea I have had for a second game, which is considerably more complex as it utilises various stat checks and special attacks, and I’ve been working my way through the Ren’Py tutorial to facilitate this project.

Additionally, I have been creating events for Limit Break - a mentorship program aimed at marginalised people looking to get into the games industry. More details to come soon!!

I have not done any streaming for the past two weeks on account of being away in Germany, but I feel proud that I set up my Discord channel. Woohoo!

Role: Human Woman

I successfully foraged from the local magnolia trees and made syrup from their petals - it tastes kinda like gingery cream soda but without any heat. I then went to Munich for two weeks, where I got a bit sunburned, ate a lot of meat + potatoes, and went to some game dev events. My lemon tree still has a glut of lemons and I am still overwhelmed, and I am struggling to convince myself to get back into Parkrun.
