​What I'm Doing Right Now.

(Inspired by Katy Schutte, who was inspired by Derek Sivers.)

Role: Actor

I am still churning through footage from my Motion Capture experience at the University of Worcester (10 characters over 2 days). I attended the Lughnassadh session of Katy Schutte’s Mythic Improv Journey which follows the Pagan Wheel of the Year. I have also acquired safety pads for future attempts at using my Digilegs, out in the open - success!! I am also prepping materials so I am ready to record a singing reel in the near-ish future!

Role: Game Developer

Progress has stalled on my first text-based adventure game - I am 29k words in and while I believed the end was in sight, I realised I might need to kill some darlings for the sake of readability and I have been overthinking every single aspect of this endeavour, including its mere existence.

I have also been working on two pitches - one for the Develop conference and one for a book.

I have not done any streaming for the past few weeks on account of life happening, alas.

I am still trying to psyche myself up to attempt some acrylic paintings, and I have ordered supplies for cyanotypes. I am challenging myself to post more of my work on social media, even if it is not finished, so I can get used to being seen in a state of non-perfection.

I have returned from my two weeks in Stockholm, during which I did actually manage to return to Parkrun. Unfortunately, I don’t think my body is currently cut out for running as an activity but I am glad that I did it. I also tried paddleboarding for the first time which was delightful!

Buying perfume. Hugging trees. Paddleboarding. Meeting new people. Feeling the warmth of another person’s good heart.
