About Emilia
Emilia Copeland (she/her) is a queer, neurodiverse multidisciplinary actor, artist, and mental health specialist with a Distinction in MSc Creative Arts and Mental Health. With a foundation in Biomedical Science, Emilia combines her creativity, academic rigor, and lived experience to shape her dynamic career.
Emilia’s acting credits include international screenings at Cannes, Sitges, and BFI Flare, as well as appearances on BBC One and BBC America where she worked alongside talent such as Peter Capaldi and James Norton. Emilia holds an ABRSM Grade 5 certification in Classical Singing, a BADC Standard qualification in Stage Combat, and advanced firearms training with ID Fight. Currently honing her voiceover craft with VO Gym’s Abbie Andrews, and Jess Nesling of Baldur’s Gate 3 fame, Emilia is poised for diverse audio projects.
As a model, Emilia’s work has graced Brides and Wed magazines, Dark Horse Comics, and exhibitions at OXO Tower and MCM Comic Con. She’s equally passionate about storytelling, with her monologue Sleep winning Best One Actress Monologue at Avalonia Festival and her short horror script Meat Eater becoming a Killer Shorts semi-finalist. Emilia is also an alum of the EDEN Digital LGBTQ+ filmmakers’ scheme, a BFI Creative Producers Lab graduate, and recipient of a CuratorSpace bursary.
After living in Toronto, Emilia also became a Creative Partner with Artists for Mental Health, an Engagement Committee member for WIFT Toronto, and a moderator for the screenwriting forum InkCanada. Her training as a Mental Health First Aider and an i-act certified manager for Film and TV, led her to examine the efficacy of Wellbeing Facilitators for her Distinction-worthy Masters’ dissertation. Off-screen, Emilia channels her creativity into cooking with over 130 cookbooks in her collection, as well as learning aerial skills such as pole dancing and silks.
